By: Han Nolan
This book was really sad. I was rather fond of it and I am thinking I better go back and read it again to refresh my memory!

A Great Series

The Clique
Lisi Harrison
This book is just plain old good. Its one of those books you read and you just don't understand why you can't put it down. I highly suggest this book to anyone over 11 but probably no one over 15 would enjoy this.

Historical Fiction

A Northern Light
By: Jennifer Donnelly
I liked this book. I don't even know why I liked it but I did. If you enjoy historical fiction you defiantly want to try this one out. Historical fiction books are fun to read because you get to see what the culture was of different places so many years ago.

Strange..But Good

Lovely Bones
By: Alice Sebold
This book is pretty interesting. The views of all the different people is a lot of fun. But I thought it sort of was dragged on a bit. I think it should have been more resolved in the end. But hey its an interesting book and I would suggest it.

A LITTLE REMINDER:
Please remember I have posted far more books then you see right away so be sure to go back to older posts. There are some real fab books back there for you to check out!

Interesting View

Secrets of My Hollywood Life
By: Jen Calontia
This book was pretty good. I thought that Katlin was a really easy character to relate to. All the characters were so drastic and amazing. You should defiantly read this book.

An Intense Novel

Speak
By: Laurie Halse Anderson
All my friends who have read this loved it. It is a really hard read because the main character is having a lot of troubles. I would only suggest this to 13 year olds or over because its harder to read.

Very Well Known

Gossip Girls Series
By: Cecily von Zieagsar
By now most of you have probably been introduced to this series. I will assume from the new t.v. series on the CW. I have only read the first five of the books and I loved them. But she does write about more mature circumstances. But I would suggest this to probably 15 years old or more!

Very Popular

Twighlight, New Moon, Eclipse
By: Stephenie Meyer
I had read these awhile back but I have been getting an awful amount of pressure to post them. To all those who wanted these posted: I appreciate your enthusiasm. For those of you who don't know the Twighlight Series is a well written series about a girl who moves to a small town on the West Coast and meets...you guessed it...vampires. I LOVED these books. Some of my friends wont read them because they are intimated by the size. Please don't be just read them. Who cares if they are long?

Just Finished

Deadline
By: Chris Crutcher
I just finished this book today and had to put in on right away. I loved it. I though it had a really strong message it was sending but I'm not sure if anyone else would pick up on it. Please read it and tell me what you think about it!

The Private Series

Sorry for not posting yesterday. It was a hectic but fun day and it kept me from posting. So I will apologize to you all by showing you the ultimate series. THE PRIVATE SERIES!!! I have only read the first three books but some of my friends have read the most recent one and love it!

Private
By: Kate Brian
This book is amazing. The main character, Reed, is so easy to relate but some choices she makes in the book most people probably wouldn't do.

Invitation Only
By: Kate Brian
The second book is just as amazing as the first book. This one is a little more mysterious than the first. The plot just gets better and better as you read along.

Untouchable
By: Kate Brian
This the third book in the series and in my opinion the best one. After reading this book I noticed that this series gets more mysterious and the plot gets better as you read farther.

An Easy Read

Eggs
By: Jerry Spinelli
This book was pretty good. It didn't really have a high point in the plot but I really enjoyed the characters. Like most of Spinelli's novels it was about a girl who people don't really like. If you liked Stargirl you may enjoy this as well.

A Sad Novel

Story of A Girl
Sara Zarr
I really enjoyed this book. Its very sad book. If you can handle mature circumstances I would highly suggested. It is not an easy read. You really have to think of what this girl must be going through, really get it in perspective.

Genre: Poetry

recommend the genre of poetry novels to anyone. Poetry novels is in an easy to read format and it's often a quick read. I haven't read many novels written in poetry. But this blog is going to take a look into two poetry novel authors; Sonya Sones and Stephanie Hemphill. I will merely put excerpts from their novels as describing them more than I already have is far to complicated.

Sonya Sones---
Sonya Sones is probably the best known teen author for poetry novels. The following books are just a few of hers.

What My Mother Doesn't Know-

"My name is Sophie.
This book is about me.
It tells the heart-stoppingly riveting story of my first love.
And also of my second.
And, okay, my third love, too.
It's not that I'm boy crazy.
It's just that even though I'm almost fifteen I've been having sort of a hard time trying to figure out the difference between love and lust.
It's like my mind and my body and my heart just don't seem to be able to agree on anything."

One of Those Hideous Books Were The Mother Dies-

"My name is Ruby.
This book is about me.

It tells the deeply hideous story of what happens when my mother dies and I'm dragged three thousand miles away from my gorgeous boyfriend, Ray, to live in L.A. with my father, who I've never even met because he's such a scumbag that he divorced my mom before I was born.
The only way I've ever even seen him is in the movies, since he's this megafamous actor who's been way too busy trying to win Oscars to even visit me once in fifteen years.
Everyone loves my father.
Everyone but me."

Stephanie Hemphill---

She may not be an uber famous author but she writes beautifully. This is the only book that I have read by her as I don't believe there are many more. I apologize but I could not locate an excerpt from this book. So you must trust me.
